Tessellation is the first successful Brinarr entity, a fusion of six Einarr souls into a new, singular individual. They are an NPC in the Ethersea campaign.
Tessellation was created during the Prologue within the shoreside community. They are one of two Brinarr created on land before Founder's Wake was founded, along with Ampersand Five. Like all Brinarr, they begin to dry and lose contact with the coral of their body when exposed to air for prolonged periods of time.
They work and live in a lab in the Coral Spire of Founder's Wake, where they help bring new Brinarr into the world, including Zoox.
Appearance[]
Tessellation is a particularly large Brinarr, at 7'6", most likely due to the fact that they hold six different souls.

Interlude III[]
When Zoox came to them for guidance in Episode 20, Tessellation greets him by name, and says that it has been "a long time."
They were understandably unsettled by the bleached coral skull the crew brought them, and almost called the Chaperones before the crew explained what they were doing with it. Similarly, Tessellation expressed concern over the bleached ship and Zoox's situation, though they tried to conceal their anxiety. They assured Zoox that his memory issues were uncommon but not entirely unheard of, and said that he had nothing to worry about.
Benefactor's Folly[]
In Episode 44, Tessellation is among the crowds that greet Devo and Zoox upon their return to Founder's Wake. After Zoox explains the situation to them, they are eager to be introduced the bleached Brinarr waiting in the ships outside the city, and immediately dive into the water to greet them.
A few months later, the shepherding pools go dormant because all of the willing Einarr souls have already become Brinarr, meaning Tessellation's job is complete. As a result, Tessellation tells Zoox that they would like to follow his lead and take a more active role in helping defend the city. Later, they ask Zoox to pilot the large coral body that was created to protect Founder's Wake, which he eagerly does. They seem surprised at his enthusiasm.
