The Spirit of the Scarlet Woods is a spirit who blesses those who make sacrifices to them, most notably the centaurs of the Scarlet Woods, who are blessed with good weather and hunting for the year after burning a magical apple for the spirit to eat. They accept sacrifices other than the apple, but the offering must be something that is difficult to give up. They do not consider Combos® Stuffed Snacks to be an appropriate sacrifice.
They manifest in the wind blowing through the trees, and possess potent magical abilities, dealing psychic damage and viewing the Firbolg's memories of being banished. Spirits such as the Spirit of the Scarlet Woods are old, wild magic, and have never been known to communicate with the centaurs or other mortals, yet the Spirit of the Scarlet Woods held an entire conversation with the Thundermen, for reasons unknown.
