Muffy is a rich and snobby resident of Kepler. She is presumably dating or married or something to Winthrop. She is also a member of the secret hunting society known as the "Shadow Brethren." When Duck Newton approached her and Winthrop to help protect the town she ended the conversation by offering him a ring and a chance to join the "Shadow Brethren"; it is unclear if he accepted, but most likely not.
