If you look out the window, it used to be a flowing field. But without sound, or any kind of… fury, this gigantic crack in the earth formed. And for whatever reason, everyone else on Nua woke up remembering that the Godscar Chasm had been there forever.

Higglemas Wiggenstaff

An unexplored chasm on the outskirts of Hope, this is considered one of the most dangerous places in Nua alongside the Unknown Forest, which it borders. Hieronymous Wiggenstaff's School for Heroism and Villainy is located nearby.

As of Ep. 28: Business Plan, the chasm has been closed by Order to make it inaccessible.

Magical Features[]

For the past 50 years, wild magic has been bleeding out of the Godscar Chasm at a steady rate. The Unbroken Chain has been monitoring this leak, and discovered that the same type of wild magic is also possessed by Sir Fitzroy Maplecourt. In Ep. 12 “Pop Quiz,” it is revealed that the Godscar Chasm is only 50 years old, and appeared fully formed in place of a field. Everyone on Nua, except for Higglemas Wiggenstaff, remembers that the Godscar Chasm has existed forever, and no one seems capable of thinking about it for too long.

On an unplanned trip to Gray's hell dimension, Fitzroy spots a chasm-shaped portal in front of Gray's palace, and infers that it connects to Nua. This becomes the basis of a plan to assassinate Gray and prevent war, but an intelligence-gathering mission to the bottom of the chasm reveals more than the Thundermen bargained for. The portal is slowly expanding, and is guarded by Order, who has made plans with Chaos to fuse Nua with the hell dimension, incite war, and usher in a new era. The Thundermen object to this plan, so Order closes the chasm to protect the portal.
