Steeplechase is the fifth main campaign of The Adventure Zone.
Premise[]
Steeplechase is set in what Justin describes as a "theme city-state," called Steeplechase, which is composed of many different layers of theme parks. It was created with the intent of playing out of their comfort zone and "getting back into the old nastiness." The campaign follows a crew of park employees as they run an underground operation using Hard Light (a kind of holographic technology) to provide other workers with a luxury experience. The campaign begins in Ustaben, a layer of the park focused on nostalgia, but visit other layers on jobs. (This also allows for a more episodic framework and thematic variation.)
Each episode opens with an in-universe monologue by Krystal (performed by Autumn Seavey Hicks) from a show called Steepywatch, a fan production that updates the general public about what's going on at Steeplechase and the Dentonic corporation.
Justin begins most episodes with a vague and seemingly unrelated segment narrated by The NanoFather.
